Background:
While 80% of CEOs expect technologies such as AI to drive revenue by 2030, only 20% have clarity on where that value will originate. To expand executive perspective, we applied an architectural approach to simplify organizational data access and enable self‑service consumption. Our experience shows that when business and IT teams collaborate around a trusted, 360‑degree view of enterprise master data, they accelerate innovation and move real products into production rather than stalling in hundreds of proofs of concept. AI can no longer operate in isolation; it requires high‑quality, governed master data to scale.
Methods:
We conducted a two‑week agile assurance audit with stakeholders responsible for data access and management. The engagement focused on two themes: (1) data privacy regulations—specifically LEY 21.719 and the NIST Privacy Framework—and (2) data‑estate governance and its effectiveness in meeting business needs. We collected quantitative and qualitative evidence, performed a gap analysis, and assessed short‑ and long‑term capability maturity. Based on these insights, we designed a strategy grounded in intelligence, action, operations, and trust to guide improvements across people, processes, and technologies.
Results:
Enterprises who demonstrated a readiness for data‑privacy requirements across their data sources reduced operational risk and provided the necessary foundations for advanced A.I. capabilities. Data deployments using hybrid storage environments—combining cloud and on‑premises—proved more cost‑effective and secure. Architecture designs using data‑lake houses reduced cost while improving real-time data access across business users.
Conclusion:
The assurance audit equipped the CEO to evolve from a steward of performance to an architect of enterprise intelligence, enabling data‑driven decision‑making and sustainable competitive advantage.
